I am a graduate of Harrisburg High School. I also attended college at Arkansas State University where I majored in Business Technology/Education.
I am beginning my fifth year at Nettleton Junior High School. I will be teaching KeyCode as well as Engineering and Technology Education (ETE). KeyCode is a class that reviews computer basics and document creation and also introduces basic computer coding (programming) by showing kids how to program simple games and apps.
I am also the Mid-level FBLA Adviser at the Junior High. FBLA is a professional student organization that teaches students business and computer skills through academic competitions, conferences and community interactions. I encourage all my students to look into joining this organization. It can help students to learn basic skills that can benefit them not only in school, but in their lives beyond school.
I previously taught at Newport High School where I taught several different subjects, such as Computerized Accounting, Digital Communications, and Computerized Business Applications.
I am married and we also have one daughter that is a graduate of Nettleton High School. We are also the proud grandparents of one granddaughter. All of us are animal lovers and we even have three dogs as well as one beta fish.
I enjoy spending time watching/playing sports as well as gaming and anything technology related. I also enjoy fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
I enjoy what I do and hope to continue teaching and caring for our students for many years to come.
